Abstract

Sistem informasi merupakan aplikasi komputer untuk mendukung operasi dari suatu organisasi: operasi, instalasi, dan perawatan komputer, perangkat lunak, dan data. Sistem Informasi Manajemen adalah kunci dari bidang yang menekankan finansial dan personal manajemen. Sistem Informasi Penjualan adalah suatu sistem informasi yang mengorganisasikan serangkaian prosedur dan metode yang dirancang untuk menghasilkan, menganalisa, menyebarkan dan memperoleh informasi guna mendukung pengambilan keputusan mengenai penjualan. Secara teknis sistem informasi dapat didefinisikan sebagai sekumpulan komponen yang saling berhubungan, mengumpulkan, memproses, menyimpan dan mendistribusikan informasi untuk menunjang pengambilan keputusan dan pengawasan dalam suatu organisasi. Sistem Informasi dapat dibedakan menjadi 2, sistem informasi manual dan sistem informasi berbasis komputer (CBIS). CBIS atau selanjutnya disebut sistem informasi (SI) adalah jenis sistem informasi yang menggunakan computer.
