Pengaruh Jumlah Nilai Ekspor, Impor Dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Terhadap Nilai Tukar Di Brunei Darussalam

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of several independent variables such us exports, imports, and economics growth on the dependent variable, namely the exchange rate in the country of Brunei Darussalam. The level of success of a country can be described through the country’s economics growth rate which is seen from various types of aspects. In recent years, many studies have stated that export activities can increase economic growth beause they an generate income for the country that can be used so that after this, it can finance the development of the domestic sector. This research is a type of explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The data used in this study is time series data for quarterly periode 2000 – 2020 obtained from the official website of World Bank and the Central Breau os Statistics. The sampling method is a saturated sample of 21 samples. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS. Simultaneous test tesults show that exports, imports, and economic growth have a significant effect on the exchange rate. The result of the partial test show that the exports variable has a significant effect on the exchange rate, while the export and import variables also have significant effect on purchasing power.
