Abstract

Dalam pengertian sederhana, ekonomi moneter merupakan salah satu rumpan ilmu ekonomi yang fokus perhatian dan analisisnya pada sifat, fungsi serta hubungan uang dalam semua aktivitas ekonomi makro. Lebih dalam lagi. Ekonomi moneter mempelajari bagaimana aktivitas uang yang mumpu memengaruhi semua aspek ekonomi dan pelakunya. Akan tetapi masih banyak sekali yang mampu dipelajari dari ekonomi moneter ini secara substansial, misalnya saja, bagaimana cara pasar uang bekerja dalam mengatur tingkat bunga, inflasi, dan mengatur kebijakan moneter, serta mengendalikan krisis finansial, hingga pada bagaimana mengendalikan sistem moneter internasional (Kuncoro, 2020).
