Abstract

Di masa lalu telepon seluler hanya berfungsi sebagai penerima dan penyalur panggilan. Namun, fungsi telepon seluler berkembang setelah adanya evolusi yang di pelopori oleh operating system yang membuat telepon genggam memiliki fungsi yang lebih luas. Saat ini telepon genggam memiliki beragam fitur mulai dari mengirim teks, berbagi foto dan video, mengirim email, bermain games, mengolah data, dan masih banyak lagi. Beberapa sistem operasi telepon genggam ini meliputi iOS dari Apple Inc, Windows dari Windows Inc, dan Android dari Google. Di antara para pesaing dalam industri sistem operasi, Android memegang pangsa pasar terbesar dalam hal unit yang dikirimkan ke seluruh dunia dan jumlah pengguna. Pengguna telepon seluler memilih dan membeli telepon seluler yang mencukupi kebutuhan mereka dengan harga yang relatif terjangkau. Dengan penerapan harga yang lebih terjangkau dibandingkan kompetitornya, Android dapat banyak mengambil hati masyarakat.
