Abstract

Sebagai badan usaha Koperasi sama dengan bentuk badan usaha lainnya, yaitu sama-sama berorientasi laba dan membutuhkan modal. Koperasi sebagai wadah demokrasi ekonomi dan sosial harus menjalankan usahanya. Oleh karena itu kehadiran modal dalam Koperasi ibarat pembuluh darah yang mensuplai darah (modal) bagi kegiatan-kegiatan lainnya dalam Koperasi. Modal dalam koperasi pada dasarnya dipergunakan untuk kesejahteraan anggota dan bukan sekedar mencari keuntungan. jenis modal dalam koperasi simpan pinjam maupun koperasi serba usaha telah di atur dalam UU koperasi no 25 tahun 1992 pasal 41, Sama seperti badan usaha lainnya, untuk mendirikan koperasi juga diperlukan modal. Modal koperasi berasal dari modal sendiri dan modal pinjaman. Skim kredit atau skim pembiayaan telah dijalankan oleh beberapa perbankan yang sebagai bentuk dukungan dari program pemerintah terkait penyediaan kredit untuk UMKM.
