Abstract

Resesi adalah situasi ketika produk domestik bruto (PDB) turun atau ketika pertumbuhan ekonomi riil negatif untuk setidaknya dua kuartal pada tahun tersebut. Resesi juga dapat didefinisikan sebagai penurunan aktivitas ekonomi yang signifikan, yang berlangsung selama berbulan-bulan atau bertahun-tahun. Resesi dapat menyebabkan penurunan secara serentak dalam semua kegiatan ekonomi seperti pekerjaan, investasi, dan keuntungan bisnis. Resesi biasanya melibatkan penurunan harga (deflasi) atau kenaikan harga (inflasi) dalam proses yang dikenal sebagai stagflasi.
