Abstract

Untuk menyiapkan strategi pemasaran yang efektif ,sebuah perusahaan harus mempelajari pesaing dan juga pelanggan aktual dan potensial. Pemasar harus mengidentifikasi strategi ,tujuan ,kekuatan dan kelemahan pesaing . Pesaing terdekat perusahaan adalah mereka yang berusaha memuaskan pelanggan dan kebutuhan yang sama dan memberikan penawaran yang serupa. Perusahaan juga harus memberikan perhatian kepada pesaing laten ,yang mungkin menawarkan cara baru atau cara lain untuk memenuhi kebutuhan yang sama . Perusahaan harus mengenali pesaingd engan menggunakan analisis berbasis industri dan pasar sekaligus Masalah persaingan bukanlah masalah baru dalam dunia usaha, ini dapat dilihat dalam perkembangannya dimana kemajuan suatu perusahaan selalu diiringi oeleh perusahaan lain untuk menuju kearah yang lebih baik. Setiap perusahaan tidak dapat menghindari persaingan dari perusahaan lain. Salah satu cara yang baik untuk mulai menghadapi persaingan adalah melalui program pemasaran yang dirancang secara kreatif dan dilaksanakan dengan baik
