1.1 Who Are Managers? (Siapakah Manager?) Manager adalah Seseorang yang bertugas/bertanggung jawab mengkoordinasikan dan mengawasi pekerjaan dari orang lain sehingga tujuan organisasi dapat tercapai. Classifying Managers Fisrt-line Managers Seseorang yang tugasnya mengelola pekerjaan dari karyawan non-manajerial. (Manajer Shift, Manajer Kantor) Middle Managers Seseorang yang tugasnya mengelola pekerjaan dari First-line Managers. (Manajer Regional, Manajer Toko) Top Managers Seseorang yang bertanggung jawab untuk membuat keputusan di seluruh organisasi dan menetapkan rencana dan tujuan yang mempengaruhi keseluruhan organisasi. (CEO, COO, CFO, Direktur Pelaksana)
