Abstract

Perkawinan merupakan sebuah peristiwa penting bagi hidup seorang individu setelah basunat dan batamat. Perkawinan ini bagi orang yang membujang sangat penting karena tidak hanya menyangkut kedua belah pihak, tapi juga menyangkut pihak calon kedua orang tua mempelai, sanak saudara, kerabat, bahkan keluarga besar (exctanded family) sekalipun. Dalam ingin melaksanakan peristiwa perkawinan setidaknya ada 4 tindakan yang harus dipersiapkan pelaksanakan perkawinan yaitu pra perkawinan, yang meliputi kegiatan: melamar calon pengantin dengan memberikan Jujuran. Kedua, kegiatan mempersiapkan pengantin yankni dengan batimung yakni memasukan tubuh ke dalam dengan uap yang sudah diisi rempah-rempah. Dan ketiga, aruh. Keempat, saat pesta perkawinan, ialah kegiatan mengumpulkan keluarga berkabaran sebelum perkawinan, menginap di tempat pengantin dan berfoto bersama
