The War Against Drugs In Indonesia

Abstract

The spread of narcotics in Indonesia is already at a dangerous level not only as a drug market but many are producing it domestically, high unemployment and rising poverty rates have triggered the widespread spread of narcotics not only in high-income communities but already at lower levels of society, coupled with advances in technology. information that is increasingly adapting to changing times makes drug syndicates more flexible in selling their business plus the limited resources owned by the state have resulted in the eradication of narcotics not producing the maximum impact. The dangers of drugs have not yet been included in the education curriculum, making the distribution of information to the younger generation even more difficult, this has resulted in many teenagers becoming drug addicts. drugs in Indonesia are not only limited to local but have used international networks which have made Indonesia a world drug market for the treatment of drug victims the government does not have sufficient budget so that the treatment of drug victims is mostly borne by drug addicts then from prison law enforcement it is not very effective or deterrent The existing criminals are getting smarter and the network or drug syndicates are getting wider so that when they get out of prison or even jail they carry out drug trafficking, both locally within prisons, nationally and internationally.
