Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengkaji lebih dalam pandangan Islam tentang keutamaan Melunasi Hutang bagi seorang muslim, dan juga ingin memaparkan beberapa adab atau akhlak seorang muslim dalam melakukan Utang Piutang mencakup anjuran-anjuran dan larangan dalam utang piutang. Pada dasarnya utang - piutang hukumnya MUBAH alias BOLEH dalam Islam. Sebagaimana firman Allah SWT dalam QS Al Baqarah : 280 yang artinya: "Dan jika (orang berutang itu) dalam kesulitan, maka berilah tenggang waktu sampai dia memperoleh kelapangan. Dan jika kamu menyedekahkan, itu lebih baik bagimu, jika kamu mengetahui". Bahkan memberikan utang memiliki pahala yang besar disisi Allah.
