Abstract

sejak dahulu sampai hari ini, membicarakan tentang Tuhan ataupun keberadaan?Nya merupakan salah satu hal yang sakral dan bisa menguras pikiran manusia. Manusia kadang-kadang bertanya dalam dirinya siapakah yang mengatur alam semesta ini, ataukah ada kekuatan lain yang menyusun alam semesta ini sedemikian rupa dan sempurna. Karena keingintahuan manusia mengenai Tuhan inilah, manusia berusaha menyelidiki dan mempelajarinya dengan menggunakan akal dan kemampuanya. Salah satu teolog sekaligus filsuf terkenal pada abad pertengahan yaitu Thomas Aquinas juga berusaha untuk membuktikan eksistensi Tuhan secara logis melalui akal budi. Meskipun begitu Thomas Aquinas juga tidak menyangkal bahwa manusia juga bisa merasakan atau membuktikan keberadaan Tuhan melalui iman. Untuk itu melalui tulisan ini penulis akan berupaya menyajikan argumen bukti eksistensi Tuhan menurut Thomas Aquinas menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka.
