Abstract

This paper presents a meta-analysis on the economic trade-offs between nutritional value and cost in food provided at homeless shelters across the United States. By analyzing cost-benefit models, the study evaluates the financial implications of different meal programs, assessing the relationship between food expenses and nutritional quality. The findings illustrate how optimized food selection, supply chain management, and public-private partnerships can enhance cost efficiency while improving health outcomes for homeless populations. The study provides policy recommendations and strategic insights into sustainable funding models that ensure shelters can provide both nutritionally adequate and economically viable meals.
