Abstract

Pesaing adalah perusahaan yang menghasilkan atau menjual barang atau jasa yang sama atau mirip dengan produk yang kita tawarkan.Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam menganalisis industri dan pesaing yaitu terdiri dari mengidentifikasi pesaing, mengidentifikasi strategi pesaing, menentukan tujuan pesaing, memperkirakan kekuatan dan kelemahan pesaing, serta memperkirakan pola reaksi pesaing. Untuk mempersiapkan strategi pemasaran yang efektif, perusahaan harus mempelajari pesaing serta pelanggan aktual dan potensial. Pesaing-pesaing terdekat adalah mereka yang berusaha memuaskan pelanggan dan kebutuhan yang sama serta mengajukan tawaran yang sama. Langkah terakhir analisis industri dan persaingan adalah mereview situasi industri secara keseluruhan dan mengambil kesimpulan mengenai prospek pertumbuhan industri tersebut (daya tarik), dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang.
