La Transparencia en el Sector Pesquero Peruano

Abstract

Con el objetivo de evaluar el grado de transparencia del sector pesquero peruano e identificar las mejoras necesarias, Oceana realizó un análisis comparativo de los Reglamentos de Ordenamiento Pesquero (ROP), principal instrumento de gestión de las pesquerías peruanas; entrevistó a expertos y encuestó a 202 personas relacionadas con el sector pesquero peruano. Los hallazgos de este estudio muestran un bajo nivel de transparencia del sector, lo que dificulta el buen gobierno y la implementación efectiva de las medidas. Además, el sistema actual por el que se diseñan y ejecutan las normas del sector pesquero es poco transparente y no es bien percibido por los actores del sector.
