Abstract

Benarkah jual beli suara (vote buying) merupakan instrumen yang efektif guna memenangi pemilu? Selama ini pemahaman tentang jual beli suara mengasumsikan transaksi tersebut berlangsung dengan efektif karena dilakukan secara top down oleh politisi, yang umumnya berasal dari latar belakang sosial ekonomi yang lebih superior, kepada pemilih “irasional” yang umumnya dari latar belakang sosial ekonomi inferior.
