La Industria del Gas Natural en el Perú

Abstract

Este documento tiene por objetivo presentar de forma comprensiva los aspectos centrales de la industria de gas natural en el Perú. En el documento se enfatiza el Proyecto de Camisea, el cual marca una nueva etapa en el desarrollo energético del país. En la primera parte del documento se presentan los proyectos de gas natural que antecedieron a Camisea, una breve historia de su desarrollo, así como sus principales características técnicas y económicas. En la segunda parte se discuten las fases del proyecto, así como los temas relacionados a las inversiones y los aspectos tributarios. En la tercera parte se analizan los principales mercados para el gas natural y los impactos económicos del proyecto en el corto y largo plazo. Finalmente, en la cuarta parte, se analiza el marco institucional bajo el cual se circunscribe el Proyecto de Camisea y las tareas de supervisión y regulación del organismo regulador.
