La ville de Detroit revitalise ses écoles publiques

Abstract

Parmi les différents problèmes rencontrés dans les secteurs scolaires des grandes agglomérations américaines, la détérioration et la sous-utilisation des infrastructures scolaires sont sans doute les plus fréquents. À Detroit, l’organisme en charge des écoles publiques s’efforce à l’heure actuelle de résoudre ce problème grâce à une aide financière du gouvernement fédéral et à un vaste programme de rénovation des infrastructures scolaires. Les fonds issus d’un emprunt obligataire voté en novembre 2009 serviront à construire de nouveaux bâtiments scolaires et à rénover le parc immobilier existant en vue d’améliorer l’efficacité de l’enseignement public et de redynamiser la ville de Detroit.
