Abstract

Conformément à son engagement de réduire les émissions de dioxyde de carbone, le ministère irlandais de l’Éducation et de la Science a conçu et construit deux écoles économes en énergie, à Tullamore (comté d’ Offaly) et à Raheen (comté de Laois). Comme la consommation d’énergie dans les bâtiments est à l’origine d’environ 55 % du CO2 rejeté dans l’atmosphère qui contribue fortement au réchauffement planétaire, le ministère a étudié les techniques de construction et les systèmes les plus récents pouvant diminuer la consommation énergétique.
