Análisis estratégico de ramas de actividad prioritarias. Sector construcción

Abstract

La actividad de la construcción se refiere tradicionalmente a la ejecución de obras públicas o privadas por parte de empresas constructoras, contratistas o sub-contratistas (sub-sector secundario). Sin embargo, están directa o indirectamente relacionadas al sector las empresas industriales proveedoras de insumos -fabricación de ladrillos, hormigón, carpintería metálica, etc.-, así como las comercializadoras mayoristas y minoristas de materiales y otros servicios. Ello genera importantes eslabonamientos productivos hacia atrás con el sector industrial como productor de materiales y con el sector terciario en la comercialización como proveedor del sector. A su vez genera eslabonamientos hacia delante en la provisión de infraestructura básica para el turismo y para desarrollar la competitividad del resto de los sectores productivos.
