Crecimiento urbano en reservas forestales: ¿amenaza u oportunidad para el arbolado en sitios turístico-recreativos?

Abstract

El crecimiento urbano puede ser una amenaza para el arbolado y su potencialidad como espacio de ocio. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el impacto de la expansión urbana en reservas forestales de la zona sur de Mar del Plata (Argentina), tanto en el arbolado como en su atractivo turístico- recreativo. La metodología se aborda desde un enfoque cualitativo, considerando la teoría de los imaginarios sociales. A través del análisis de entrevistas semiestructuradas y fuentes secundarias, se argumenta que la expansión urbana no necesariamente sería un problema si se realizan intervenciones adecuadas en el arbolado.
