La ampliación de la cobertura de las asignaciones familiares

Abstract

La ampliación de la cobertura de las asignaciones familiares a través de la Asignación Universal por Hijo para Protección Social (AUH) constituye una de las políticas más importantes de las últimas décadas en términos de política social. Al incluir hogares que no accedían al régimen contributivo a través del mercado de trabajo formal, la AUH tiene un importante impacto sobre el bienestar. Sin embargo, no resulta suficiente para la erradicación de la pobreza infantil, a la vez que mantiene ciertas inequidades entre quienes están incluidos en el régimen contributivo y quienes son cubiertos por la AUH.
