Estrategias innovativas y competitividad de las firmas del sector metalmecánico del Partido de General Pueyrredon, en el período postconvertibilidad

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal caracterizar a la industria metalmecánica (IM) PYME del Partido de General Pueyrredon (PGP) en el contexto macroeconómico post-convertibilidad, identificando clusters según las estrategias innovativas implementadas por las firmas que componen el sector y analizando el desempeño de cada uno. La investigación es descriptiva y correlacional y utiliza datos provenientes de la Encuesta Regional a PYMES industriales del PGP 2006 realizada por la Fundación Observatorio PYME. Mediante técnicas de análisis multivariado se identifican 4 clusters al interior de la IM, en los cuales se agrupan firmas por rama de actividad y tamaño. Los clusters constituidos por firmas medianas son los que poseen estrategias innovativas mejor definidas y mejor desempeño competitivo.
