Abstract

La constante modernización tecnológica en las pesquerías, especialmente en embarcaciones pesqueras, sistemas de posicionamiento y localización, artes y dispositivos selectivos y nuevos procesos entre otras, con el objeto de optimizar la eficacia y eficiencia económica, obliga a las Autoridades pesqueras a mejorar sus sistemas de seguimiento, monitoreo y control, fortaleciendo las investigaciones pesqueras y formulando acertadas medidas de manejo, para asegurar la pesca responsable, que para las pesquerías es mantener la sostenibilidad del sistema pesquero; recursos y su medio ambiente y el desarrollo económico sostenible de la actividad económica. Para ello se requiere minimizar los riesgos e incertidumbre en el cálculo de los estimadores utilizados en la ordenación y política pesquera.
