La estacionalidad como factor de oportunidad en el mejoramiento del nivel de vida en una ciudad turística

Abstract

El propósito de este análisis, que se enmarca en un programa más amplio de estudio sobre las características del mercado de trabajo de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, es presentar resultados acerca de los efectos que el carácter estacional de la demanda de trabajo tiene sobre la dinámica del funcionamiento del mercado laboral local. En particular, investiga las estrategias de los hogares en cuanto al despliegue de la oferta de trabajo. Y muy específicamente, durante los meses de enero y febrero, cuando la presión sobre el mercado laboral aumenta ya sea por la incorporación de una oferta agregada foránea como por la respuesta local a una demanda intensiva de trabajo.
