Croissance économique wallonne sur la période 2009-2012 : une idiosyncrasie wallonne ?

Abstract

Ce cahier examine l’évolution de la croissance de la Valeur Ajoutée Brute (VAB) wallonne après la crise économique de 2008-2009. Il s’intéresse, en particulier, à la variation des estimations de la VAB wallonne observée pour les années 2010 et 2011 dans les Comptes régionaux 2012 publiés en janvier 2014 par l’Institut des Comptes Nationaux (ICN). Cette variation s’explique par des revenus exceptionnels pour brevets et licences en 2010 dans le secteur pharmaceutique. En corrigeant l’effet de ce secteur sur la croissance wallonne, on retrouve alors une moindre réactivité à la conjoncture de l’économie wallonne en continuité par rapport aux observations faites dans le passé.
