Abstract

Nous Prenons Deux Exemples de Modeles de Demande de Transport et Nous Montrons Que L'utilisation des Transformations de Box et Cox Permet, Tant Dans le Cas Montrealais Que Dans le Cas Parisien, de Mieux Rendre Compte des Donnees Que Certaines Formes Predeterminees. Dans le Premier Cas, Celui D'un Modele de Niveau Agrege En Series Chronologiques, Nous Rejetons une Forme Multiplicative Ou Log-Lineaire au Profit de la Forme Lineaire; Dans le Second, Celui D'un Modele Probabiliste Desagrege (Logit) , Nous Rejetons la Forme Multiplicative et la Forme Lineaire au Profit de la Racine Carree des Variables Explicatives. Dans les Deux Ensembles de Resultats, le Signe de Certaines Variables et Plusieurs Elasticites de la Demande Varient Selon la Forme Choisie. Nous Pretendons Que les Resultats Obtenus Lorsque les Donnees Elles-Memes Determinent la Forme Fonctionnelle Sont Generalement Meilleurs Que Ceux Qui Sont Obtenus Avec des Formes Predeterminees Differentes de la Forme "Optimale". les Resultats Presentes Pour le Modele a Six Modes des Deplacements Domicile-Travail a Paris Sont Nouveaux et Ressemblent a des Resultats Obtenus En Australie Avec un Modele a Deux Modes de Transport.
