What Does $1,000 in Seed Capital Buy? Emerging Lessons from the SET Program’s Offer of Microgrants for Business Start-Ups

Abstract

This brief describes early findings on the implementation of seed capital microgrants within the Self-Employment Training program. This pilot program tested strategies to support dislocated workers (unemployed and underemployed) who want to start their own businesses.
