Abstract

Working paper on human resources planning methodology for evaluating and coping with labour surplus, based on a case study of Indonesia - examines expected medium term employment creation and labour demand by economic sector, incl. Estimates in manufacturing and the informal sector; discusses employment policy simulation econometric models using input output analysis to account for industrial growth; emphasizes need to improve statistical service. Graphs, references, statistical tables.
