Abstract

Technical report on agricultural mechanization of sugar cane harvesting in Fiji - discusses agricultural technology options (chopper harvester or whole-stick harvester); presents a cost benefit analysis for each different choice of technology; considers the employment and economic implications of abandoning the labour intensive agricultural policy.
