Abstract

Working paper presenting an economic analysis of the relationships between the agricultural production of cotton, the commodity market and the textile industry in Peru, with particular reference to direct and indirect employment effects - contributes to a project on the international division of labour, and includes industrialization policy and economic policy recommendations. Diagrams, references and statistical tables.
