Abstract

ILO pub-wep pub. Working paper comprising a literature survey on the social implications of energy policy-determined choice of technology in developing countries - reviews projections for power demand and power supply (incl. Petroleum prices and alternative energy sources, such as solar energy, wind power, Biogas, small-scale hydroelectric power, considers capital worker ratio, employment creation and energy conservation, and summarizes an ILO Programme of social research on social development. Bibliography pp. 49 to 59.
