Abstract

ILO pub-wep pub. Working paper on rural area industrialization and industrialization policy in relation to rural industry in French speaking Africa - discusses obstacles (emphasis on export oriented industry, market access, wage differentials, etc.), Successes (agriproduct processing, agricultural equipment industrial enterprises), and stresses need to emphasize small scale industry in rural development. Bibliography pp. 39 to 41.
