Abstract

Working paper on the impact of introduction of soap substitute products (detergents) on consumer behaviour and income distribution in Barbados - discusses survey research methodology and consumption inefficiency, partic. Of low income households, analyzes impact of technological change and multinational enterprises on consumer prices, etc., And makes educational policy recommendations. Graphs, questionnaire, references and statistical tables.
