Abstract

Working paper studying the feasibility of implementing employment policy and migration policy for short term employment of Mexican migrant workers in the USA - gives historical background information, compares previous experiences with those in Western Europe, covers labour demand, amount and duration of work permits, contracting, etc., evaluates short and long term implications, and presents five programme models. References and statistical tables.
