Abstract

Draft working paper on the relationship between land tenure, income distribution and government policy in Sri Lanka - comments on the extent of tenancy, the impact of the paddy lands act legislation of 1958, (land settlement), the relations between tenant farmers and landowners, the guaranteed price policy scheme for paddy (rice),, etc. One-page bibliography, references and statistical tables.
