Abstract

Conference paper on the contribution of economic integration to employment creation in Central America - analyses the effects of unified trade policy, tariff policy (customs union) and investment policy, etc. On employment, and shows that the export of labour intensive industrial products to third countries should be regarded as complementary to regional level import substitution.
