Servicios de desarrollo empresarial: Un esquema de análisis

Abstract

El propósito de este estudio es el de proporcionar una visión general de las prácticas actuales en el suministro de Servicios de Desarrollo Empresarial (SDE) a pequeños y micro empresarios en los países en vías de desarrollo. Por servicios de desarrollo empresarial nos referimos a servicios tales como capacitación, transferencia de tecnología, apoyo en mercadeo, asesoramiento empresarial, tutorías e información destinados a ayudar a los pequeños y microempresarios a mejorar el desempeño de sus empresas. Este estudio trata de dar el primer paso hacia la identificación de posibles indicadores de éxito, ejemplos de mejores prácticas, y lecciones aprendidas en el área de los SDE. Los SDE fueron destacados como una área de trabajo de futuro interés en el documento de estrategias del desarrollo microempresarial del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, MICRO 2001, el cual fue presentado en la Conferencia sobre Promoción del Crecimiento con Equidad llevada a cabo en noviembre de 1995.
