Abstract

Este documento fue comisionado por la Red de Gestión Pública y Transparencia del Diálogo Regional de Política para la 5a Reunión Hemisférica celebrada los días 17 y 18 de marzo de 2005. El trabajo tiene por objeto el análisis y la presentación de los resultados globales de un proyecto impulsado por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo para la evaluación de sistemas nacionales de servicio civil en América Latina y el Caribe. Particularmente, este informe examina el servicio civil en veintiún países: Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, República Dominicana, Trinidad y Tobago, Uruguay, y Venezuela. El informe contiene las conclusiones principales de los trabajos de diagnóstico institucional y elementos complementarios del análisis, y una serie de recomendaciones finales.
