La experiencia de Chile en la reducción de la pobreza

Abstract

Esta presentación fue comisionada por la Red de Reducción de la Pobreza y Protección Social del Diálogo Regional de Política para la III Reunión Hemisférica celebrada los días 23 y 24 de mayo de 2002. Chile se encuentra en una transición demográfica de envejecimiento de su población. Esta transición se prolongará por tres o cuatro décadas más. El contexto demográfico del país es un factor fundamental del desarrollo de las políticas sociales, en particular en lo relativo a la protección social de la población adulta.
