Abstract

Este caso constituye una ilustración de las consideraciones teóricas y metodológicas presentadas en el trabajo sobre el Análisis de Involucrados, publicado por el INDES en 2000. Ilustra muchas de las complicaciones y reacciones que producen las intervenciones de las autoridades en la vida de los ciudadanos. Lo atractivo e interesante de este caso para un análisis de involucrados es que una disputa de alcance familiar y local, que se podría haber solucionado con una visita o una conferencia entre parientes, se convirtió en una controversia en toda la sociedad estadounidense y en el mundo entero, que puso en juego a los más altos organismos del estado más poderoso del mundo y de la República de Cuba. En este sentido, el caso es un claro ejemplo de la forma en que pueden complicarse las situaciones, aun las más sencillas en apariencia, si en ellas se implican, involucran o entrometen otros actores diferentes de los actores originales.
