Abstract

"The unemployment rate in Germany strongly declined between 2006 and 2011. However, the unemployment risk is closely connected to qualification. In 2011, nearly 20 percent of people without occupational qualification were hit by unemployment whereas only 2.4 percent of the graduates were jobless. Even during the Great Recession in 2008/2009, this rate remained almost unchanged." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
