Frauen in Führungspositionen: Karriere mit Hindernissen

Abstract

"Abhängig beschäftigte Frauen in der Privatwirtschaft können ihren Rückstand in Führungspositionen insgesamt nur langsam verringern. Dies zeigt ein Vergleich von Mikrozensus-Daten der Jahre 2000 und 2004. In dieser Zeit sind allerdings die Frauenanteile bei hohen Leitungsfunktionen, bei Führungspositionen in Vollzeit sowie in der Altersgruppe 30 bis 49 Jahre nicht gestiegen. Der Anteil von weiblichen Führungskräften mit Kindern ging von 2000 auf 2004 sogar zurück. Beruf und Familie lassen sich für weibliche Führungskräfte selten miteinander vereinbaren: Sie leben öfter als Männer alleine oder mit Partnern, die selbst stark auf Beruf und Karriere hin orientiert sind, haben deutlich seltener Kinder und sind meist vollzeiterwerbstätig mit relativ langen Arbeitszeiten. Auch Frauen in Führungspositionen würden von besseren Rahmenbedingungen für die Vereinbarkeit von Familie und beruflicher Karriere - außerhalb und innerhalb der Betriebe - profitieren. Wichtig ist hier vor allem der Ausbau ganztägiger Kinderbetreuungsmöglichkeiten. Daneben könnten karriereintensive Zeiten und Familienphasen zeitlich stärker entzerrt werden."
