Redes Neuronales Y Medición De Eficiencia: Aplicación Al Servicio De Recogida De Basuras

Abstract

En este trabajo se aborda la medición de eficiencia a través de las técnicas de redes neuronales artificiales (RNA). En la primera parte, se presentan las características más sobresalientes de estos modelos no lineales, así como algunas de sus múltiples aplicaciones en el ámbito económico. A continuación se revisan las técnicas habituales empleadas en la literatura de eficiencia: paramétricas, determinísticas o estocásticas, y no paramétricas, Análisis Envolvente de Datos (DEA) y Free Disposal Hull (FDH). Junto a ellas se proponen las RNA para aproximar la frontera, y se discuten las ventajas e inconvenientes en un análisis comparativo. Finalmente, se aplican las distintas metodologías al servicio de recogida de basuras a partir de una muestra de municipios catalanes, cuyos resultados son comparados a través del coeficiente de correlación de Pearson y de rangos de Spearman.
