Abstract

この論文では，経済成長の二極化現象を説明することを試みる．生産のために一定種類の工程があり，それらは，人的資本と物的資本が用いられる工程と労働が用いられる工程に大きく分けられる．そして，人的資本蓄積の学習効果とそのスピルオーバーから，労働の工程から両資本の工程へのシフトが起こると仮定する．初期時点において，両資本の用いられる工程数よりも労働の用いられる工程数の方が相対的に多く，その後，労働の工程から両資本の工程へのシフトが進みにくい経済は，技術進歩のない新古典派成長モデルと似た様相を呈する．だが，労働の工程数よりも両資本の工程数の方が相対的に多い経済から出発すれば，さらなるシフトが進みにくくても内生成長が可能となる．労働の工程から両資本の工程へシフトしやすい経済であれば，初期時点における相対的な工程数に関わらず，内生成長が起こり得る．
