Abstract

La consommation en ligne des œuvres artistiques, notamment musicales, cinématographiques et audiovisuelles, s'accompagne d'une production sans précédent de données relatives à l'usage de ces contenus culturels. Dans la continuité des précédents travaux du Conseil supérieur de la propriété littéraire et artistique (CSPLA) visant à étudier l'impact de la donnée sur l'économie du secteur culturel, Olivier Japiot, président de ce Conseil, vient de confier une nouvelle mission à Mmes Valérie-Laure Benabou, professeure à l'université de Versailles-Saint Quentin en Yvelines, et Joëlle Farchy, professeure à l'Université Paris I, où elle dirige l'École de médias et du numérique de la Sorbonne. Cette mission vise à approfondir la réflexion sur la manière dont les différents types de données (métadonnées attachées aux contenus, données d'usages, etc) sont mobilisés par des dispositifs de recommandation utilisés par les plateformes en ligne afin d'orienter les choix des utilisateurs vers des contenus culturels ciblés.
