Abstract

This study assesses the impact of monetary and fiscal policy coordination on the stability of the general price level in the context of the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1990 to 2019. Our empirical investigation focuses on the DRC between 1990 and 2019, and uses the VAR model. The results show the existence of this coordination for a few years. In addition, this coordination has positive effects on the stability of the general price level. This evidence suggests that the Central Bank of Congo (BCC) must work hard with the Congolese government to ensure general price level stability.
