Abstract

L'enquête SRCV constitue une source de référence pour les métriques de bien-être subjectif. Une question portant sur la confiance interpersonnelle a été posée dans la vague de 2013. La vague de 2018 comporte également une question sur ce sujet, mais avec une formulation sensiblement différente. Nous rappelons le débat scientifique qui entoure ce changement de formulation. En comparant les réponses à celles de l'enquête sociale européenne et en réalisant de manière parallèle la même analyse sur ces deux enquêtes, nous étayons l'hypothèse que le changement de formulation a eu des effets sensibles sur la distribution des réponses. L'évolution de la distribution ne vient toutefois pas modifier radicalement les corrélations entre les réponses à cette question et ses facteurs le plus souvent considérés.
