Abstract

The public enterprises sector plays an important role in the economic and social development of our country. The direct involvement of this sector in the implementation of other sectors' public policies' justifies strengthening governance practices of public entreprises for greater efficiency and performance. After literature review on the theoretical foundations of corporate governance, this article provides good public companies governance practices. It is true that the government has undertaken reforms (69-00 Act, Good Governance Code of, Contractualisation) to improve the governance and performance of State Owned Entreprises (SOE), however, several challenges remain.
