Intégrité, Autosuffisance Et Confiance En Soi

Abstract

Ce texte traite des effets pratiques de l'intégrité, un concept qui a fait l'objet d'importants développements dans la philosophie contemporaine et qui est aussi largement utilisé dans certains domaines de la vie humaine, en particulier ceux ayant une dimension économique. Ces effets pratiques sont ici étudiés dans le contexte d'un cas empirique qui a été documenté dans le cadre d'une recherche doctorale relative à la faiblesse de la volonté. L'objectif est d'explorer ce que peuvent apporter à cet examen les concepts d'autosuffisance et de confiance en soi, que John Rawls (1971) a considérés à propos de la réalisation d'un projet rationnel de vie. Il est possible que ces concepts ne soient que des substituts de composantes de l'intégrité elle-même, qui en a déjà beaucoup, mais il est aussi possible qu'ils mettent en relief certaines considérations utiles à la réflexion.
